The Walking Sticks come in a variety of lengths and the shafts have either plain or carved finishes. It is the wood from which musical instruments, agricultural tools, carvings, boats, skis, flooring, etc are made so makes an ideal strong timber to use for Walking Sticks.Īnother wood that Lord of Battles uses in some of the canes in our range is Eucalyptus which is also a sustainable timber and the species used for for canes that has simiilar properties to Sheesham. Sheesham is among the finest cabinet and veneer timbers. Sheesham is a common, non-threatened timber so it is a sustainable resource. Most of them are made from Sheesham Wood, a premier timber species also known as Indian Rosewood. Our Walking Sticks are also made by Lord of Battles. Also, in an age where personal protection is becoming more of a neccessity, the Walking Stick can serve as a means of self-defence in an emergency (see here for example). The Walking Stick (also known as the Walking Cane) was a fashion accessory until fairly recent times.
